Quiero Braaaains...
Its been too long since we've had a zombie related post on TripleChimp.
In other news, The wildly popular Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles for the Wii is gettin a sequel! Resident Evil: Darkside Chronicles not only promises the same action packed "rail-shooter" excitement from the first game, but also claims to have some of the best graphics on the Wii. Good graphics or not, if this game is as fun as the original then we're in for a treat. More info and a GT vid after the jump.
For anybody unfamiliar with the premise of the Chronicles games, the player essentially relives the greatest hits from the Resident Evil saga except that its a light-gun type shooter. The result is lots of fun... just ask Eleni!
An interesting sidenote: for a while the original either went out of print or something because I saw it on Amazon for like $175! However a fresh check reveals its a lot cheaper than that now.

Environmental Destruction Anyone?
Im not talking about Global Warming or Deforestation... I'm talkin about Red Faction, Baby! The Red Faction Franchise, famous for pioneering the Geo-Mod gameplay mechanic, is ready to deliver again with Red faction: Guerrilla. I had a chance to play the demo this weekend and had CHINGOS of fun. GT's Preview after the jump.
Lemme tell you... the demo kicked ass. Your put in to the shoes of Alec Mason who is one ticked off Mars miner (sounds like these Red Faction guys are runnin out of ideas). Anyway, its kind of got a Mercenaries meets Red Faction feel with its 3rd Person POV and its fully realized "Mars" world. As I was saying earlier, the demo kicks butt. You're tasked with retrieving a massive piece of equipment that the bad guys have taken from the miners. Playing as Alec Mason as you make your way to the location of said Equipment is a lot of fun... but then you get IN to the machine and the game becomes pure bliss. I won't spoil it for you. PS3 owners hit up your Playstation Store, Xbox360 users hit up your marketplace. Enjoy.
p.s. The machine that you steal back can be seen in the vid at 1:22-1:28, but you really have to play it to appreciate how much fun it is.

What Do You Fight For...?
I fight to answer cheesy cliched questions. Speaking of Cheesy and Cliched, there is a new Tekken coming out (that's 6 for those keeping count). Here is a trailer that looks like it could be from any of the last 4 iterations of the game:
I have a lot of love for the Tekken series (Im looking at you Bryan Fury & Eddie Gordo), but the franchise is in serious need of innovation. What says you, lone reader?

Lets Go Water Boarding!!
Wait a second... water boarding is a new extreme water sport like knee boarding right?
Ok Im not that dumb. Here is a video of a Playboy journalist experiencing simulated drowning:
Although good sense would indicate I should fear the soldier in this video, I actually liked him more than the journalist.

Thank God Adrian is back...
... without him no one would read my posts. I guess I can get back to work now! To welcome Adrian back here is a video that may or may not blow his mind (and yours).
This guy is nuts! Somebody put him in a high stakes chase scene in an action movie!

I'm Back
Expect some posts from me soon. Just got back from a long trip in Mexico. Tons of pics on that. Also, I haven't played the latest Fallout dlc. Will be playing through it soon. Expect a review soon after.
Here's a cool vid. Wonder what I have to do to present it to the Texas legislature.

I Love the Smell of Asphalt In the Morning.
A big thanks to friend and loyal reader, Harry for this link. For your viewing (and reminiscing) pleasure we have all the cutscenes from the 1995 Tim Schafer classic FULL THROTTLE edited together for easy access and maximum enjoyment. Watch it HERE!
Seriously... what a damn great game. In fact, all of these point and click adventures that Lucasarts put out in the 90's were amazing, with Full Throttle ranking among the best of the best. Badass storyline, badass soundtrack (by the Gone Jackals), and above all else badass voice acting - Mark Hamill anyone?
Nobody messes with the Pole Cats!

Too Soon?
Check out this article in the Wall Street Journal. Is it me or is this just a little uncomfortable to be viewed as an "entertaining" experience. When is war far enough removed (i.e. WWII) that you can have fun playing it in game form?
In its defense this game has a lot of pros in its favor: It will be used as a military simulator to train troops and it will serve as an accurate account of what our brave men and women did in Iraq during the 2004 Battle of Fallujah adding "some humanity to the subject." What worries me is how those who are still in the armed forces or those who have lost someone during this conflict will react to the material. What say you? Two more pics after the jump.
Six Days in Fallujah is being developed by Atomic Games and published by Konami.

Tricks, anyone?
Haven´t put up any trick vids in a while. Here are several. I figured I´d post these due to the music choices. I can imagine that it can be difficult to choose the appropriate music for a video full of bikes bouncing around. It´s usually a fail. What do you guys think?

Frenchmen Collide in Word Track Sprint Finals
I´m a little late on the game to post on this one, but here it is nonetheless. After Kevin Sireau and Gregory Bauge beat Mathew Crampton and Jason Kenny, respectively, in the World Track sprint quarter finals the two Frenchmen fought it out to a spectacular ending.
Sireau collides with Bauge after being beat in the final kick. Video evidence follows. Slow-mo after the jump.
