The Most Unbelievable Video You've Seen... Ever

I didnt feel the need to preface this vid with anything as it speaks for itself.
I will however apologize for taking every 100th post. Sorry Adri... you can have 400 and 500!

Solid Skull

Sideshow Collectibles has a knack for putting out awesome products. They also have a knack for over-pricing them! Check our these badass RAH figures of my favorite videogame hero, Solid Snake, in tiger stripe and skull face-paint.
Solid Snake is so super cool. I often wonder who would win in a fight between Solid Snake, Boba Fett, Roland Deschain, Spike Spiegel, Aang and Michael Jordan.

Heroes in a Half-Shell!

The Ninja Turltes will soon be featured in a Smash Brothers-esque beat 'em up featuring characters from the TMNT universe. This sounds like a great idea, but whats with all the Smash Bros. references? The official title is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash Up, but thats not all! Whatch this trailer and tell me the last bit of type isn't yet another reference to the Smash Bros. franchise.

...and who else thinks that Krang should be in a damn yellow robot suit with a creepy egg-head on top and not some metal gray mech suit?

This can't be real.

I was gonna post the new teaser trailer for The Last Airbender... but then I came across this video on Gametrailers and I felt compelled to post it instead. I almost hesistate to put it up however because, well, its pretty bizarre. Take a look for yourself.

The Art of Fighting Without Fighting?

One of my favorite clips from Enter the Dragon:

For some reason, I get a real kick out of repeating this jackasses line delivery. Side note: on Youtube I actually typed in "The art of Fighting..." and before I could finish it auto completed it with "...without fighting." More Bruce Lee after the jump.Yes, I'm aware the one of the clips repeats on the second vid.

Call of Duty: World at War: The Mini-Series?

Tom Hanks and Steven Spieldberg are at it again. If you've been hankering for a second helping of Band of Brothers-like entertainment than look no further than this link... which has a quicktime promo for The Pacific. I'm definitely gonna watch this just because I'm so in to Call of Duty: World at War, but if Band of Brothers is any indication... we're in for a real treat.

What a Tease!

Olivia Munn, love her or hate her, has landed herself a spread in Playboy magazine. Maybe I don't understand the purpose of the magazine but three girls next door told me there was nudity in it. This is not the case with miss Munn who will appear sans nudity. This one is for you Eleni.
There was a comment on the page I got this from that read: "At least its not Skeletor, I mean Morgan Webb."

Side-Scrollin Shell Shock!

Side-scrolling beat 'em ups, for all their repetitive gameplay, are some of the most fun games to play with your buddies. With the advent of accessible multiplayer, I think its time for a major renaissance of the genre... which I think is already beginning! Games that should be remade in badass HD graphics after the jump!
Unfortunately this is the best video of the Simpsons arcade that I could find... the guy who made the video is playing as all four characters at once.

Final Fight is one of my favorites. My memories of the game are limited to the SNES version however that doesnt make it any less AWESOME. I used to hate the boss characters that had like seven life bars stacked on top of one another.

How bout an awesome Mash-up of legendary beat 'em ups!?

Loyal Triplechimp readers, what games do you think should be remade?

The Beatles RB Opening Cinematic

I had looked for this before but couldn't find an embeddable version. Thank you YouTube! Here it is. I think it's fantastic. As a matter of fact I kind of wish that they would have used this art style for the actual game. Sweetness follows:

Cycling Web Comics

Here are a few web comics from Versus.com. Versus is the channel that shows the Tour de France. They aren't amazing, but I still think it's cool that Versus is giving cycling more attention even though it's buried behind fishing and bullriding. Unfortunately they are autostart, so you have to deal with that. Check 'em after the jump.

Update: It didn't let me put up all three vids. Guess you'll have to go to go here to watch the rest.

MO 93

Apparently the Swedes have been keeping a bicycle infantry unit up to the 90's. How cool is that? This bike could carry up to 300 lbs.

Here are some parts and the different chainrings they used.

Ode to the Bicycle, Pablo Neruda

Oda a la bicicleta

Iba
por el camino
crepitante:
el sol se desgranaba
como maíz ardiendo
y era
la tierra
calurosa
un infinito círculo
con cielo arriba
azul, deshabitado.

Pasaron
junto a mí
las bicicletas,
los únicos
insectos
de aquel
minuto seco del verano,
sigilosas,
veloces,
transparentes:
me parecieron
só
lo movimientos del aire.

Obreros y muchachas
a las fábricas
iban
entregando
los ojos
al verano,
las cabezas al cielo,
sentados
en los
élitros
de las vertiginosas
bicicletas
que silbaban
cruzando
puentes, rosales, zarza
y mediodía

Pensé en la tarde cuando los muchachos
se laven,
canten, coman, levanten
una copa
de vino
en honor
del amor
y de la vida,
y a la puerta
esperando
la bicicleta
inmóvil
porque
sólo
de movimiento fue su alma
y allí caída
no es
insecto transparente
que recorre
el verano,
sino
esqueleto
frío
que sólo
recupera
un cuerpo errante
con la urgencia
y la luz,
es decir,
con
la
resurrección
de cada día.

Ode to Bicycles

I was walking
down
a sizzling road:
the sun popped like
a field of blazing maize,
the
earth
was hot,
an infinite circle
with an empty
blue sky overhead.

A few bicycles
passed
me by,
the only
insects
in
that dry
moment of summer,
silent,
swift,
translucent;
they
barely stirred
the air.

Workers and girls
were riding to their
factories,
giving
their eyes
to summer,
their heads to the sky,
sitting on the
hard
beetle backs
of the whirling
bicycles
that whirred
as they rode by
bridges, rosebushes, brambles
and midday.

I thought about evening when the boys
wash up,
sing, eat, raise
a cup
of wine
in honor
of love
and life,
and waiting
at the door,
the bicycle,
stilled,
because
only moving
does it have a soul,
and fallen there
it isn’t
a translucent insect
humming
through summer
but
a cold
skeleton
that will return to
life
only
when it’s needed,
when it’s light,
that is,
with
the
resurrection
of each day.

- Pablo Neruda, 1956

Carl Fredricksen, in Lego

I have to say that I loved this movie. Unfortunately I didn't see it in 3D. This pic is going to have to suffice. I've always loved LEGO, even joining the LEGO Fanatics when I was young. Efren, remember that shitty iron on yellow shirt I had? Enjoy the pic.

PS There is a Lego shop opening up in the Dallas mall, can't wait.

Ill Never Go Swimming Again...

...just kidding. A new Final Destination movie is upon us and this time its in 3-D! In the category of horror-movies-with-endless-sequels-involving-gruesome-deaths I'd have to go with Final Destination(1 & 2) over Saw or any of its other horrific brethren. Heck, I still remember watching the first Final Destination at the theaters. My favorite scenes are always the initial "event" that is foreseen by some unlucky soul. For future reference, if you're ever in a public place and some good looking person starts freaking out and trying to get everyone out of the area... just stay. Let it happen. Otherwise... well just watch the trailer. (or revisit 1 & 2)The Final Destination trailer in HD
By the way, did you guys notice the definitive "The" in front of the title.

This Just In: Devo not chosen for new Castlevania BGM

This trailer really is getting me excited for a new Castlevania game. To be honest, I never thought that the whip was any fun after the last 2D game. It just seemed clumsy. Thats part of the reason that I liked Symphony of the Night so much. On the other hand, the fighting mechanics seems almost God of War-like. Definitely a good thing to copy. I guess we'll find out later. Some screen grabs after the jump.

As my experience with FPS's is limited to Call of Duty titles, this vid hits close to home. I hate effin' campers. This is epic:

Collegehumor had this vid up and one of the comments underneath was "That guy got pwned all the way back to Modern Warfare."
