There's a great After Effects tutorial site,
VideoCopilot, run by Andrew Kramer (for free!) that I've been reading/watching obsessively for the last 5 months. He runs a blog on there, too, and today I noticed a great entry. As someone interested in motion graphics, VFX and animation, the fact that there's a behind the scenes on here is amazing as well. Don't wanna spoil the surprise, so just follow the link:
Enjoy!

Dude, that brings back memories. So lame but awesome at the same time.
I was surprised how I completely remembered the entire tune. Especially when it gets to the Rocky-esque eye of the tiger part.
Make sure to watch the Behind-the-Scenes on the production of the opening. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine that the "HBO" was literally chromed brass letters... talk about hand-made! Just a few clicks of the mouse these days...
Dude! Who is that guy at the beginning. I dont remember him.
This is cool. I wish that music would come on every morning as I woke up.
