British aeronautical engineer Bernie Bamford sighted a mysterious grid of undersea lines while browsing through Google Earth’s new underwater search tool. The strange pattern was spotted off the western coast of Africa, apparently near one of the possible sites of the legendary island.
Google has since put out a response to the "discovery" claiming that it's the result of sonar-equipped boats that are used to collect data from the ocean floor. Judge for yourself!
Sunken? Check! City? Check! Atlanits? Not so sure. What say you?

I saw this too. Plato was a wack job. And even if he wasn't, he described Atlantis as a city organized in concentric circles. Not a grid.
In Plato's time circles meant squares.
