Resident EEEVIIIIIILLL (5)
I finally got a chance to play the demo for Resident Evil 5. It was not good. Sure the graphics are probably the best I've ever seen on my piano black box, but the controls were so clunky. I suppose Ive been conditioned (or at the very least spoiled) by the quick action of games like Uncharted and even CoD. I like to aim quick, shoot quick and get the hell out of there. This game does not give me that fun or exciting "feeling" that I get from these other games. Dont get me wrong, I fully understand that this game is meant to be played at a slower pace or at least thats what the older games in the franchise focused on. And another thing! I dont much like the game dynamic of always hurtin' (and huntin') for ammo. Perhaps I didnt invest enough time into getting the gist of it. Regardless... call me when a PS3 Silent Hill (that doesnt suck) coems out.

I agree. I never played the RE games, but this demo was very blah. Also, the guy with the chain saw killed me and I never tried it again. The other half of the demo I beat on the first try, but only because of my lovely assistant. What was her name? Decolletage?
I am completely enamored with Resident Evil 4, guys. But with one caveat: only on the Wii (and with Wiimote aiming). Everything you guys are saying is dead-on. I don't think I'll be able to enjoy this game without use of a Wiimote, which, many complained made the game too easy. Regardless, it was just too much fun...
