...with the upcoming Punch-Out for the Wii. Damn! This franchise takes me back! I can remember watching Ito (our absent third chimp) bust his way up the chain of would-be contenders and making it all the way to the second time you fight Soda Popinski. I doubt they'll bring back Iron Mike Tyson for the "Wii-make" but I really hope they bring back other classic opponents like Bald Bull and Piston Honda. Your thoughts on retro remakes?

I'm all for remakes, of all kinds, as long as they are done well. Unfortunately that is rarely the case. Would you consider the new Metroid games remakes? They are badass.
I guess it depends more on whether someone bought the license to make a quick buck or actually care about the ip.

Although I really enjoy remakes like 1942 and Street Fighter II HD Remix (incidentally, those are both Capcom games), I agree that these games and their subsequent success probably doesn't motivate other game makers to innovate when re-making their classics.
Oh well, we'll see what happens.
p.s. the Metroid Prime games kick ass!
